Cursed: Demon's Daughter Chapter 2

Chapter 2 of Cursed: Demon's Daughter is ready to read!

In this chapter, Constance and Dro have moved on to a new town. They take a break from running to look into information on what's hunting them and what Dro really is. We also get more of an insight into Constance's mind, and see just how unstable she is...

This chapter was a lot shorter and not as in depth then as it is now. It quickly realized that Constance doesn't react the way normal, rational people with minor problems and histories react. She reacts with violence and tension because that is what she knows. Dro aside, her comfort is knowing that she is stronger than whatever she is facing. Giving Constance PTSD made sense once it was suggested to me. Given that she spends her days running from the law and the Blood Thorns, and her nights fighting monsters and hoping her sister won't burn her alive, it's easy to see why she would have a stress disorder.

The encounter with Father Colin and the flashback with Elizabeth didn't need to be too extravagant. After all, Dro doesn't need to use her major powers to freak people out.

While this was a slower chapter, I feel it adds a lot more to the personalities of the two girls, Constance in particular. The next chapter (which I'm currently reworking since I've changed what I want it to be) will likely not be action-packed either, but will delve more into mythology. I'm excited to do it because it's been a while since I brushed up on my demonology. And you can find anything on the internet.

Anyways, I  hope you enjoyed this chapter of Cursed: Demon's Daughter. The third chapter will come some time near the end of December or very early January, depending on how drunk I get on New Years how busy I am during the holidays. More updates will come during the week now that NaNo is over.

Until then, cheers! Enjoy your Cyber Monday... I know I will. ;)
