Shortly after that, I had not one but two book cover reveals for my upcoming novels Storm Born and Damnation's Door, both of which are up for pre-order now.
A single night can change your life… for the worst.
It’s been a century since the last Centennial Storm, the calamitous phenomenon that covered the world in disasters– tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, tsunamis, and dust storms– caused not by nature, but by alien creatures from another realm. The Stormkind.
Ava Reid tries not to think about that night, when she was caught in a hurricane and brought face to face with one of the Stormkind, the man with a dagger, and the agony she felt when he stabbed her with a crystal blade. Yet as she and the rest of Florida’s citizens begin to rebuild their lives, Ava can’t help but notice strange things happening around her. Things she seems to be causing. The gusts of wind and sudden floods attract the attentions of a mysterious stranger who leaves her clues, and the deadlier men following her.
It isn’t long before Ava is swept up into a wild conspiracy, led by a secret society that knows the truth about the Stormkind– and what their enemies have planned for the world she loves. If she wishes to protect her friends and her family, Ava must harness her strange new abilities and become part of the Stormkind society. Because if she loses control, there will be no force strong enough to stop her…

The Damnation's Door cover reveal was set up by Xpresso Book Tours, which was endlessly exciting. I definitely took a lot away from it. I also was fortunate enough to have a series spotlight for Cursed on Princess of the Light and author interviews on The Blonde Bookworm, Author Marketing Club, and most recently, The Bookish Crypt. I also, of course, got in all the beautiful swag for my upcoming releases.
Yup. All that happened in March. I know, right? And I'm still just getting started! While I'm going to be hunting for more chances to promote both Storm Born and Damnation's Door, one of my major focuses right now is to complete the newest version of a book called Storm of the Gods, the first in a new urban fantasy series called Areios Brothers. I'm hoping to have the rough draft and edits done by mid/late April, since I'm going to attempt to take the plunge again and send the book in to publishers. I have a long list I want to try with, but I'm still incredibly nervous and will not enjoy the waiting period. That being said, if it fails (which honestly, is my expectation since I know how hard it is to get a good publishing contract, and a great publishing contract), I'll just continue with independent publishing.
I'll also be working on the plots/stories for another urban fantasy series called Agents of Limbo, which will go through the same process as Areios Brothers. I'm going to plan on doing this with all of my new series (and there are so many), so maybe one of them will be the one that lets me live the dream and write full time? If not... Well, it hasn't stopped me from writing, has it?
So that's April– there will be some more promotions for Storm Born which will include giveaways (you may have seen the beautiful printed copies waiting to be handed off to lucky contestants) and much more. Right now things seem a little calm, as far as I'm concerned, but I expect them to pick up soon. Knowing is half the battle!
Cheers!
Amy
