Weekly Recap (And A Pre-Order!)

Well, it turned out to be a productive week after all! I'm still kind of amazed at how much I managed to get done, not that I'm complaining:

• Request review schedules for Dark Divinity
• Edits and prep Blood Moon 18
• Test scenes and official synopsis for Storm Born
• Work on marketing/touring/etc. for Dark Divinity
• Final read throughs for Dark Divinity and Crimson Sky

• Edit Hunt of the Gods

This week will be pretty simple, since I want to focus on NaNoWriMo and Storm Born:

• Official synopsis for Storm Born
• Continue Storm Born
• More promotion/review requests for Crimson Sky
Set up blog tour dates for Dark Divinity

This promotion thing is a lot of work. I'm still trying to figure out how to go about setting it up, but I've managed to reply to various emails and confirm a few dates. I'm looking forward to see how it turns out for Dark Divinity so I can have a more concrete understanding when it's Crimson Sky's turn.

Right now, I'm doing little things. For example, you can read samples of Dark Divinity on Bublish, and I recently got the link for the Kindle pre-order! Still working on the Kobo version, but I should have those links fairly soon. Smashwords is being a little tricky for me, but I'm getting the hang of that and working on it as well.

While I've said in the past that I wasn't going to write any more short stories, a contest by horror legend Stephen King just opened up, and I can't say no. I have no idea what to write, but 4,000 words is nothing for me. I know my odds of winning are minuscule, but it's been a while since I wrote a story meant to unsettle a reader. Besides, if on the off chance I do win, it'll be a damn cool accolade!

Most of my free writing time will revolve around Storm Born, which is off to a really great start– I've finished the first chapter and will have an excerpt soon. I'm getting more and more excited about this story and can't wait to see where it goes.

So that's all for now! I'm currently trying to do three things at once, so it'd probably be smart if I got back on track. Things are pretty crazy for me right now, so it's a good thing I like to stay busy! Hope everyone has a great week! Cheers!
