Editing, Blog Tours, And Fangirl Moments

Since I'm posting this so late, you can probably tell that I've been really busy. But things are going good. Really good. It's the middle of a hectic week, but so far this is the excitement that's been happening in this writer's life:

I'm pleased to say that I'm starting to come out of that horrid shell known as Writer's Block. I've completed my latest Blood Moon short story, which is called Hunters Prey, and is currently out on the review train. If you can't wait to read it, you can do so here on Figment. I'm pleased to say that this is one of the

As far as Call From The Grave, well, there's a lot going on there. First, for all you fellow Kobo users who need epub format, you can purchase Call From The Grave from Omnilit. You know you want to! I've also recently been invited by fellow Toil, Trouble, and Temptation author Carole Ann Moleti to participate in a blog tour. I'm super excited about this, having never done anything like it before. I'll share more details as soon as I have them, so keep an eye on the blog as well as my Twitter and Facebook pages. I know it will be a great experience and will help get my name out there even more. Honestly, I can't believe how far this little story has gone. If you told me a year ago I would have an accepted submission, release, blog promos and tours, I would have said you were crazily optimistic. But there's a saying about hard work, and it really is true.

Lastly, I thought I would share a little bit of fandom with you all. I was super excited to receive a package from my favorite author, Rob Thurman. Long story short, I won a contest and wrote a review for her latest anthology, Silver and Salt. Her thrillers Chimera and Basilisk are two of the best novels I've ever read, which considering how much I read is saying something. I could go on a rant about how exceptional these stories are and how you should buy them now (seriously, what are you waiting for?), but it's not Saturday, and I already have a novel lined up for this weekend's review.

I can't begin to tell you how special it is to get these kinds of gifts from an author who inspires you constantly. It's the little things that make all the difference. Hopefully one day, maybe years in the future, I'll be able to do the same thing for a fan, knowing it will mean as much to them as it did to me. Thank you again, Rob.
An amazing cover, with an even more amazing note inside!
Read Chimera and Basilisk. Then you'll get it.
So, that's been my week so far, in a nutshell. Pretty wild, huh? I gotta say that I'm loving it, though. This weekend is going to be crazy, since my best friend is getting married, but I'll try to get to my Saturday post. If not, expect it Monday. Hope everyone has a terrific Friday and weekend!

Cheers!

Amy
