Weekly Recap (And STORM BORN releases tomorrow!)

This is one of those days where looking at my calendar frightens me a little bit. I realize how much I have to do and how little time I have to do it in. My mom mentioned a couple days ago that I technically work two jobs, between writing and the Real Job. It's a little alarming how true that actually is. I mean, I wake up, get myself ready for the day, then write/edit/email/promote until my brain will not allow me another thought. When I have to do the Real Job, it's the same thing, only on a much more limited schedule. Still, I wouldn't be doing it if I didn't love it, and I absolutely love it.

I wanted to complete all three of my projects last week, but time just didn't afford it to me, though I did manage to set up one of the giveaways for Storm Born:

• World building, histories, series outline, and plots for the Iron Gargoyle series (Instead, I toyed around with the prologue and began some of the first chapter)
• Continue writing the sequel to Storm of the Gods (my current Work In Progress, because I need to write something!)
• Start more giveaways for Storm Born

This week will be a lot more challenging...

• World building, histories, series outline, and plots for the Iron Gargoyle series
• Continue writing the sequel to Storm of the Gods
• More promotions for Storm Born
Begin promotions for Damnation's Door and book reviews/spotlights

... But I'm excited and eager, since Storm Born releases tomorrow!

A single night can change your life… for the worst.

It’s been a century since the last Centennial Storm, the calamitous phenomenon that covered the world in disasters– tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, tsunamis, and dust storms– caused not by nature, but by alien creatures from another realm. The Stormkind.

Ava Reid tries not to think about that night, when she was caught in a hurricane and brought face to face with one of the Stormkind, the man with a dagger, and the agony she felt when he stabbed her with a crystal blade. Yet as she and the rest of Florida’s citizens begin to rebuild their lives, Ava can’t help but notice strange things happening around her. Things she seems to be causing. The gusts of wind and sudden floods attract the attentions of a mysterious stranger who leaves her clues, and the deadlier men following her.

It isn’t long before Ava is swept up into a wild conspiracy, led by a secret society that knows the truth about the Stormkind– and what their enemies have planned for the world she loves. If she wishes to protect her friends and her family, Ava must harness her strange new abilities and become part of the Stormkind society. Because if she loses control, there will be no force strong enough to stop her…

I'll be posting a lot of links on Twitter for more reviews, many of which have been positive so far, as well as links to contests on various blogs and websites. In addition to the giveaway going on now on the blog, there's also a Goodreads giveaway where you can enter to win the same prizes: One signed copy of Storm Born with bookmarks and postcards for swag!

This week I'll also be starting to promote the final novel in the Cursed series, Damnation's Door

I'll be spending the next couple days booking tours for the Cursed series as well as frequent snippets and teasers for the final novel. It will be interesting to promote two books at once, but I live for challenges.

In addition, I'll be working on the sequel to Storm of the Gods and building the world/plots for the Iron Gargoyle series. I've written the prologue and some of the first chapter, and I really like what I've come up with so far. It should be a fun series to work with, and I'm hoping to completely start the first novel soon.

And that's what's going on! It's going to be a hectic week, and I can't wait to see what I finish by the end of it.

Cheers!

Amy
