Weekly Recap

I definitely count last week as a good week. Not only did I enjoy a wonderful birthday, I managed to complete a new book!:

• Finish new version of Storm of the Gods
• Finish the plot lines and world building for Agents of Limbo series
• Edit Storm of the Gods and prepare to send it to Beta readers/publishers
• Find more spotlights for Storm Born and Damnation's Door
• Eat birthday cake!

Granted, this means I have a lot more work to do, most of which includes editing. It won't be a slow week by any means:

• Finish the plot lines and world building for Agents of Limbo series
• Edit Storm of the Gods and prepare to send it to Beta readers/publishers
• Find more spotlights for Storm Born and Damnation's Door

I'm cutting it close with the spotlights, but hopefully I can snag a couple for my upcoming release dates.

As much as I want to focus on those releases, now that I've completed Storm of the Gods, the first novel in my upcoming Areios Brothers series, I'm tempted to simply continue with that. I've already begun working on the sequel, which will remain untitled since I don't know where it will end up– either (and hopefully) in the hands of a traditional publisher, or independently published by me next year (no, I don't have a release date yet, even I'm not that advanced).

I'd also like to complete the series plot line for Agents of Limbo, another urban fantasy series I'd like to send to publishers/release myself next year in between Areios Brothers novels, though I need to put some more thought into it. The series has changed since it's inception, and if I'm going to take the time to write and publish novels from both series' simultaneously, I want to make sure there are enough differences that they can't be mistaken for one another. I know the Areios Brothers world like the back of my hand, but Agents of Limbo will take a little more getting used to.

Also, next week, I'm going to be taking part in a cover reveal! I've never done this for another author before and am excited to see how it plays out. Plus, I'm a fan of this series and I admit that I want to be one of the first to see the cover before others. I love helping hard-working writers, and it will be exciting to offer this kind of support.

And that's all the news I have for now! It might not seem like it, but I've been dragging my feet a little this morning and need to get back to work. I have the full day to edit, plan, and write, and I want to take full advantage of that. So until Thursday, cheers!

Amy

  1. Congrats on finishing Storm of the Gods. Good luck either finding a publisher or self-publishing.
